My Life At Duke
BA, majoring in Public Policy and history. Cheerleader. Go Blue Devils! Studied abroad, Glasgow, Scotland. Attended Duke with brother Jon, who also graduated in 1990. Father attended Duke Med. All siblings have attended Duke. We're True Blue!
My Favorite Duke Memory
Memories surrounding Duke basketball and the Cameron Crazies are tough to beat. Traveling around the country with the basketball team for the ACC Tournament and March Madness and the people we met along the way are memories that I'll forever cherish.
I very much enjoyed my public policy major and appreciated the case-study based curriculum with small classed devoted to immense and intense student participation that led to a healthy and diversified exposure to an array of perspectives.
My Life Since Duke
I attended George Washington University for my MA (1993)in International Affairs, focusing on international trade policy and US foreign policy.
Later I made a life-decision to enter the full-time ministry. I served in Washington DC and San Francisco before meeting my husband Rob(PhD in Neuro-Pharmacology, UPenn) in late 1994. We married in Philadelphia in June, 1997. After that time we have had the honor of starting or strengthening ministries in various locations around the US. We moved to Auckland, New Zealand from 2001 to 2003, a highlight of our lives. We returned to Philadelphia for a few years before moving the Ferry Fivesome (children Hunter (10), Grant (8), and Skylar (7))to the Denver area in 2006. Together we enjoy skiing, snowshoeing, cycling, camping, etc. I've recently run my first marathon and have competed in several triathlons.
